    Learning Outcomes

    By the end of this course, students will be able to:

    1. Understand contemporary developments and changes in twenty-first century global politics.
    2. Understand how and why these new developments and trends will have an impact on global affairs.
    3. Analyse and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of mainstream International Relations theories in light of these developments.
    4. Demonstrate analytical, research and writing skills.
    5. Carry out independent and self-directed research and present the findings in a written research essay and policy brief.
