    Students who successfully complete this paper will

    • Have received a basic grounding in the question of European identity from a range of political, social, historical, literary, philosophical and cultural perspectives
    • Be able to progress to higher-level study in the disciplines taught in the Division of Humanities
    • Be able to connect their study with the core papers of the minor and major in European Studies, for which this paper provides an introduction
