Otago's Faculty of Law has a vibrant, strong academic community and welcomes international students, who bring a highly-valued diversity and perspective.

International students may choose to complete an entire degree at Otago, take one or more papers here as part of an Exchange or Study Abroad programme, or conduct postgraduate research at Otago as a visiting student.

Visiting students

Visiting students are postgraduate students enrolled in degree programmes at overseas institutions, who wish to visit Otago for research purposes, but without formally enroling in a degree programme or papers while they are here.

English requirements

If English is not your first language, you must provide evidence of a sufficient level of English language proficiency to study Law at Otago.

Students who wish to study Law must have a minimum IELTS score of 7.5.
