Otago poem title

The colophon in manuscripts or in early printed books is a concluding statement, a ‘finishing touch’ indicating some or all of the following: the title of the work, the copyist’s or printer’s name, and the date and place of production. In modern private press works there is often information such as the type of paper and press used, issue limitations, and other details pertaining to production. In the colophon for Brian Turner’s Two Otago Poems, printed in the Bibliography Room in 2003, Llewelyn Richards has added in ink details and a woodcut image of the author.
