Proof and final

They don’t make conference packs like they use to do, nor do lecturers advertise their availability at home anymore – and in such a distinctive manner. These two items and the ‘Merry Christmas’ and ‘QSL 4XT Radio Randi’ form a small part of the many ephemeral (from the Latin and Greek meaning ‘lasting only a day’) pieces printed on the presses since 1961. While one poster or ticket is seen as having little or no value, the cumulative amassing of such things often gains in importance, especially as social documents of a time and place. This certainly applies to the outputs from the Bibliography Room presses.
