Vale and Other Poems
Some of A.E's early poems caught the eye of Charles Weekes, an enterprising new publisher. Titled Homeward: Songs by the Way, this slim volume of verse first appeared in June 1894, where it met with some success, selling in Ireland and England. On display is the scarce 1908 Bodley Head reprint. Vale and other Poems (1931), was written during a lecture tour of America. It contains a signed, hand-drawn illustration by Russell on the title-page.
