Bob Sheppard sells new and used books over the internet from Mundaring, Western Australia. He also runs Warrigal Press, which was established in 1987. In 2006, as part of a pulp renaissance, Sheppard published Murder is Never Pretty Even When the Corpse is a Blonde, surely one of the best modern-day pulp titles ever. Murder was written by Joe Blake, who is deemed ‘Western Australia’s best known detective’. By utilizing the artistic skills of students at the Western Australia School of Art, Design and Media, Sheppard commissioned different covers for the title. One is by Lauren Gale; the other is by Paul Ikin, whose larger, signed edition photograph is on display.
