Millionaire's Shortbread

Millionaire's Shortbread

At Clark's Cafe at Wellington Public Library, the four authors and Brendan O'Brien, collage-maker and designer, met to discuss this verse project. The title was taken from the café's popular biscuit-slice made from a rich concoction with layers of chocolate, caramel and shortbread called 'Millionaires Shortbread'. A publisher with foresight and enterprise was then sought, and up stepped OUP. The book launch - those most necessary occasions for every publisher - was held at BAM bookshop in the Wellington Public Library, and predictably the food supplied was from Clark's, including their famed shortbread.

Millionaire's Shortbread. Poems by Mary-Jane Duffy, [and three others] (2003).
