Student for a Day

What is Student for a Day

Student for a Day is an event for Year 13 students run by the Locals Programme. It offers Year 13 students the opportunity to experience a day as a University of Otago locals student; going to lectures, attending tutorials and labs, and hanging out in Locals HQ. It was run in the second week of the July school holidays so the participants do not need to take a day off school to attend.

As part of the registration the Year 13 students can specify up to three major subject areas that they are interested in. They are then matched with a first year student who is, where possible, studying in one of those areas. We will also be organising activities outside of classes for the students so they can make the most out of their day. The participants also select what day they would like to attend when they are registering.

How to sign up?

Student for a Day will be running from the 15th to the 17th of July in 2019. You can register by filling out this form
