The Mackenzie Cancer Research Group showcased our research and laboratories to the people of Christchurch at the UOC Health Research Open Day on Sunday, 18 September.

We conducted laboratory tours throughout the afternoon. We also had interactive stands set up in the Rolleston Foyer which included information about the Cancer Society Tissue Bank.

Associate Professor Gabi Dachs discussed her cancer research with people taking a tour of the Denis Stewart Pathology Museum.

PhD student Rebekah Crake gave a three minute presentation in the Rolleston Lecture Theatre entitled, Fighting fit: exercise therapy for improved chemotherapy outcome?
