Research Outline

Arash's main research interest lies in the field of international business and strategy. In particular, he is interested in studying the dynamics of international development of SMEs. In his doctoral research, Arash is looking at the the performance implications of rapid international expansion among SMEs in New Zealand.

Arash received his M.Sc. degree in industrial management with major in Operational Research from Tarbiat Modarres University (Tehran, Iran). His master's thesis was on “Designing a mathematical model for prioritizing the factors affecting success of small-medium high-tech enterprises (High-Tech SMEs) in Iran”. He also holds a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Kashan, Iran. In addition, he has completed an advanced level of one-year MBA program at Technical and Vocational Training Organization.

Due to his diverse educational background, Arash has carried out some interdisciplinary research with academics in the fields of Urban Planning, Energy Management, and Economics, which resulted in publications in these areas (some listed below).
