Jeff teaches operations management and operational excellence. Prior to joining the Department of Management, he led a team of systems thinkers and social scientists at the Institute of Environmental Science and Research. There Jeff undertook policy and practice relevant research in areas related to environmental health, natural resource management, and social and health services. His research interests include systems methodology, reorientation of oral health and opioid substitution treatment services, and the application of service dominant logic to the design and evaluation of health and social services. Jeff is involved in the Healthier Lives, and Our Land and Water National Science Challenge projects “He Pikinga Waiora: making health interventions work for Māori communities” and “The Collaboration Lab: determining the role of collaboration in transforming management of land and water”.
