This 12-month masters, starting in February, is an interdisciplinary programme drawing on emerging research in the field to provide you with an advanced qualification in sustainability, and its relevance to the business community.
The programme is taught on campus and through distance learning (available by distance in 2021 subject to academic approval).
As a graduate you will have a wide range of career options such as sustainability managers for industry, business analysts, sustainable business consultants, and sustainable development managers.

Entry requirements for the MSusBus
A candidate for the MSusBus must:
- Be a graduate and normally have achieved an average of at least B+ in the relevant 300-level papers or
- Have equivalent alternative qualifications or experience and gain approval from the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Division of Commerce
Master of Sustainable Business programme details
The programme consists of:
- one academic year of papers at 400-level
Plus either
- a research project (thesis)
- or an applied project

Topics in research, history, philosophy, theory and practice. Topic emphasis and learning methods vary according to instructor and study interest.
MANT 437 Organisations and Sustainability
Examines how businesses are responding to sustainability and climate change in the current socio-economic context, and encourages students to create alternative scenarios of future business worlds.
MANT 450 Governance and Social Responsibility
Evaluate and critique the concept of social responsibility, understand the context of it and how it functions operationally and at the governance level.
MANT451 Strategic Change and Innovation
Consideration of seminal and contemporary literature in strategic management across a range of subject areas in order to develop an appreciation for key questions that lie ahead for research and practice.
