Paediatric experiences, pathways, and quality improvement strategies in the Otago region

This is a qualitative feasibility study of patient, whānau, and health professional collaboration for improvement. Dr Emma Wyeth is a Co-Principal Investigator for this project (along with Professor Sarah Derrett), which is funded by the HealthCare Otago Trust.

The project aims to describe and understand the experiences of paediatric services in Otago from children and youth, their whānau, including specifically those of Ngāi Tahu, and other Māori living in Otago. It also aims to understand existing methods for feedback, involvement, and engagement, and contribute to planning for innovative forms of meaningful patient/whānau and provider collaboration for significant quality improvement within the broader Otago paediatric service network.
