Welcome to Marine Science at Otago. We have many international students from around the world studying here, and we know how to help you find your way around. Here are a few facts and links you may find helpful:

The academic year in New Zealand begins in late February. Unless you are taking a degree that has no classes (e.g., PhD), you must apply by 31 October, and arrive in mid-February. (Please note: AQFI 301 and AQFI 421 begin on 1 Feb.)

The university has an excellent International Office that will coordinate your arrival and help you to set up a base in Dunedin.

How do I apply? Use the “Apply Now” button on the relevant qualification page.

When? Applications are due on 31 October, except for the PhD which can be applied for any time.
