Dr Euejung Hwang

Dr Euejung Hwang received her PhD in Marketing from Auckland University of Technology (AUT). After completing her PhD, Euejung worked as a lecturer in the marketing department at AUT before joining the University of Otago.

Euejung’s research interests are in sensory marketing in branding and behavioural decision making. Particularly, her research focuses on the effects of sensory features in branding and the adoption of behavioural decision theory in food choice, food consumption behaviour, and in various domains of consumer research, such as travel.

Euejung is also a member of Food Waste Innovation, a University of Otago Research Theme which measures food waste, develops reduction strategies, applies innovative technology, and works to modify producer and consumer behaviour.
