Research Summary:

The During My PhD journey, I intend to develop a framework for the early detection of marketing crises. The world's economic, political, geographical, and social events show that businesses are constantly affected by natural and human-caused crises. If businesses are unprepared to face crises, they would fail (e.g., shut down of some businesses during COVID-19). However, if businesses were able to detect crises early on, they would have a better chance of surviving.

My PhD research aims to broaden the understanding of how social media data could provide meaningful information that helps in the early detection of an external crisis at the organizational level. The research would help marketing managers to improve their market forecasts and strategies to sustain companies' performance by preventing customer and financial losses.
