Mastitis Research Centre
Bomac Laboratories Ltd (acquired by Bayer in 2011) formed the Mastitis Research Centre (MRC) which is an excellence cluster to drive development of novel technologies for improving the prevention and treatment of clinical and subclinical Mastitis in Dairy Cows. Bayer Animal Health’s continuous commitment to product innovation for mastitis treatment is evident in the foundation of this Centre. Since the MRC’s inauguration in 2006 several cutting-edge treatments have been introduced into the market and protected by filed patents. The MRC is an applied and translational research body, involving expertise from Bayer Animal Health, University of Otago, Massey University and University of Auckland.
