Phase 1: On campus in Dunedin (180 points)
Following Orientation, you will undertake 12 core papers of 15 points each, a live case study and a set of extra-curricular activities as follows.

Phase 2: International exchange, electives or business project (60 points)
You can choose to complete Phase 2 through international exchange, on-campus semester, summer electives, a business project, or a combination of these. Schedule and location depend on your choice.
International Exchange (EXCH 000)
There is a list of about 20 world-renowned universities in the US, Europe, Latin America or Asia you can choose from.
Otago Semester Electives (Mar–Oct) (BMBA 550)
If you choose to stay on campus, you can choose from one of the following elective options run by the University of Otago Business School:
- Accounting and Finance
- Advanced Management
- Marketing
- Tourism
- Healthcare Management
- Entrepreneurship
Otago Summer Electives (Jan–Feb) (BMBA 550)
Summer electives are usually conducted on-campus in Dunedin and include:
- Marketing
- Entrepreneurship
MBA Professional Consulting Engagement (BUSI 540) 60 points
- Major in-company consultancy project
- Can be undertaken anywhere in the world
- At least three months' full-time effort
