International work and industry experience

I have lived in multiple different countries now including growing up in London, England and living in Scotland for my undergraduate degree. I have travelled to the depths of the Amazon jungle in Peru and frozen on a hill in Scotland working as a zoologist researcher. When not gathering scientific zoological data, I worked as a dog walker and a pottery painter. However, being the tech savvy person of my family, I am very happy to be using my secret IT skills to help the MBA staff and students navigate the Zoom program stress-free.

Why does Vicky like working with the Otago Online MBA?

I like working with the Otago online MBA as I know how painful it can be when technology doesn’t work when you need it most. Being helpful and fixing these problems is a great way to keep students stress-free, therefore allowing them to concentrate on their learning from experienced lecturers. My support role allows me to listen in on lectures and I find this provides a new knowledge field to my science-based way of thinking.

Why does Vicky think that Otago Online MBA is a great place to study?

I understand that extending learning is a great way to keep invested in your subject area, but it’s not always possible to fit it into a busy schedule. This course provides a great opportunity for people to continue expanding their knowledge in the evenings while being able to apply it to their practical working lives during the day. I think being able to ask experienced lecturers questions about day to day working life is an amazing way to learn.
