Ian's goals and missions are to work towards:
- Creating the conditions required for career-ready MBA graduates
- Making the Otago MBA a world-class programme

International industry experience
Prior to Ian's current role at the university, his career was mainly in telecommunications and technology companies. He spent many happy years in Asia working with BT (British Telecom) in a variety of business units before moving to New Zealand in 2005. Ian subsequently took up the CEO position at Vcomms before leading the Otago MBA programme.

Ian enjoys working with the Otago MBA first and foremost because of his contact with candidates and students from around the world. Having the opportunity to meet so many motivated people from different backgrounds is amazing.
Ian has lived and worked in Asia for about 20 years. He comes with a wealth of industry experience in managing businesses in this growing region, and he feels very much at home with the multicultural Otago MBA class.
