Research

I completed my PhD in 2016 in the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I am from. My research focused on the relation between the circadian clock and alternative splicing in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. Currently I am interested in understanding how upstream Open Reading Frames (uORFs) in the ascorbate biosynthesis gene regulate translation in response to drought stress in the model plant Arabidopsis thaliana. I am also starting a new project that focuses in understanding the relation between flowering time and circadian rhythms in natural populations of Medicago truncatula, a model for the agriculturally important legume family.
