Research

I am the Research Director at the NZ Brain Research Institute. My training is in experimental psychology and my personal research interests lie mainly in the effects of neurological disease upon the control of fast eye movements (saccades). This has been extended to involve studies of the coordination of hand and eye movement in both lab-based and more natural tasks. I've also become involved in projects using structural and functional MR brain imaging to investigate Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s diseases.
