Research

Dr Michelle Jospe is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and experienced dietitian. She is a member of the Edgar Diabetes and Obesity Research Centre, on of the University’s flagship Research Centres.

Michelle is interested in helping adults manage their weight using behaviour strategies. In particular, she is interested in teaching people to eat only when they are hungry, rather than in response to emotions or environment. “Hunger training” uses blood sugar to help pepole figure out their appetite. Michelle is currently trialling “hunger training” in prediabetics in hopes of developing a simple method to prevent diabetes.
