Research

Maree's main area of research interest is in bipolar disorder. She has been involved in the Psychotherapy for young people with bipolar disorder and the Effectiveness of Specialist Supportive Care for patients with bipolar disorder. She is currently involved in the Clinical Effectiveness trial of a bipolar disorder clinic and a Patient perceptions of factors influencing medication non-adherence in bipolar disorder study.

She also has an interest in suicide and suicide prevention. Her research encompasses both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Maree is the current recipient of the Gama Fellowship in Bipolar Disorder
