Research

Marie works on the Resilient Urban Futures research project. Her 2012 PhD used mixed methods research to explore how bus and train passengers use their travel time and how this affects their wellbeing. Her supervisors were Associate Professor Louise Signal and Dr James Stanley (University of Otago), and Dr Jackie Cumming (Victoria University of Wellington). Other research interests include tobacco policy, workers’ history and children's wellbeing.
