Education unit staff on each campus coordinate and promote a range of events, including speakers, briefings and workshops. These may include cross-campus module convener meetings, held every 2-3 years, and medical education research activities, as advised on the linked medical education research page.

Neil Osheroff visit May 2019

Professor Neil Osheroff, Treasurer of the International Association of Medical Science Educators and Professor of Biochemistry and Medicine, Vanderbilt University, USA, is in New Zealand in May and will be leading sessions on curriculum development. The key focus is on curricular integration of biomedical science into clinical programmes, with a further session in Dunedin on the career value of involvement in this challenging area.
