India Sawyer_portraitIndia Sawyer has just received the good news that she is awarded the MacGibbon PhD travel Fellowship by the Division of Health Sciences. She is one of the first recipients of this award which is funded from a donation by the Alumni of the University of Otago in America Inc. The fellowship worth $14,500 will allow the PhD student with Prof. Greg Anderson to spend 4 months in Alexander 'Sasha' Kauffman's lab, a long standing collaborator, at the University of California, San Diego. From June to September 2019 she will be able to tap into established techniques of the Kauffman lab to work on her thesis “The role of RFRP neurons in stress and reproduction”.
