Associate Professor Peter Mace
Dr Peter Mace is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biochemistry.
He completed both undergraduate and PhD studies at the University of Otago, followed by time as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Dunedin and at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in San Diego, California – where he received the United States Department of Defense Breast Cancer Research Fellowship.
Associate Professor Mace returned to Otago upon receiving a Rutherford Discovery Fellowship from the Royal Society of New Zealand in 2013.
Since returning to Otago he has established a lab investigating proteins that regulate signalling pathways in cells in the context of cancer and inflammation.
