It is commonly believed that our universe was born in a gigantic explosion called the big bang about 13 billion years ago.
Come and hear Dr Florian Beyer from the Department of Mathematics discuss the young universe, a period of time just after the big bang that was so utterly different from everything else we know, that only the mathematics of Albert Einstein's General Relativity theory might ever have the power to unravel its mysteries.
