McKinlay Oration/free public lecture: Assessment and control of vitamin and mineral deficiencies globally: generating better data for more coherent public health programs

The Centre for International Health warmly invites you to a free public lecture: 'Assessment and control of vitamin and mineral deficiencies globally: generating better data for more coherent public health programs' presented by Kenneth H Brown MD.

Professor Ken Brown is a global authority on the epidemiology, treatment, and prevention of childhood malnutrition in lower-income countries. Senior Fellow at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Distinguished Professor Emeritus at University of California, Davis; former Africa Regional Advisor for Nutrition and Child Survival for Helen Keller International.

The 2018 McKinlay Oration will be followed directly by the official launch of the Otago Global Health Institute, 6.30 – 7.00pm, also at Te Wao Nui.

The McKinlay Oration is sponsored by the Centre for International Health and is part of the Otago Global Health Institute (OGHI) 11th Annual Conference. Following on from the OGHI conference will be the Pacific International Health Symposium (PIHS) 29-30 November and the Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases (ASID) NZ Annual Meeting 29 November-1 December.
