The 2018 OERC symposium has been organised in collaboration with Otago Climate Change Network (OCCNet). Within the context of accelerated climate change and the Zero Carbon Act in New Zealand, we have a special interest this year in all areas of Energy and Climate Change (Mitigation & Adaptation). The breadth of disciplines and range of presenter backgrounds makes the annual OERC symposia both relevant and stimulating for everyone.
In addition to keynote speaker David Parker, Minister for the Environment.
Confirmed keynote speakers (in alphabetical order) are:
John Clark, GM Operations and Innovation, Transpower
Dave Cull, Mayor of Dunedin
Dave Frame, Professor of Climate Change, Victoria University of Wellington
Brigid McArthur, Greenwood Roche partner, Chair of the Energy Law Association
Yolande Strengers, Associate Professor & co-leader Beyond Behaviour Research Program, RMIT University, Australia
$500 ‘Best student paper prizes’ have been generously sponsored by The Energy Law Association and Dunedin City Council.
