White Coat Ceremony

This is a celebration of new students entering into the professional years of their degree.

The purpose of the ceremony is to provide a formal transition from being a student in the health science first year, to entering the first professional year of the pharmacy programme. This provides an opportunity for the student to get a sense of the professional nature of the programme and that at this point the School considers them to be not only a university student but also a pharmacist in training.

There will be a morning tea followed by presentations to the students of dispensing jackets used as a symbol of the profession. This will be a great opportunity to inspire confidence in the bright future available to them through the profession
