International Brain Awareness Week is a global campaign to increase public awareness of the progress and benefits of brain research. Hosted at the Otago Museum, with support from the University of Otago and the Neurological Foundation of New Zealand, International Brain Awareness Week events in Dunedin will be held daily covering a range of neurological topics.
Seminars will cover topics such as brain development, healthy aging and the brain, and neuroplasticity, providing illuminating insight into current neurological research.
Brain Day Dunedin will be held on Saturday 16 March, and provide a day of short lectures from top University of Otago neuroscientists, children’s activities, displays from local neurological community organisations plus a giant walk through brain. An educational experience for the whole family.
