Thirst for knowledge - sedimentary perspectives on our climate

Dr Chris Moy, Department of Geology, University of Otago, on the topic "Sedimentary perspectives: Reconstructing New Zealand's climate in order to prepare for our future"

This month's Thirst for Knowledge is going virtual! Join us on "Zoom" to hear from Dr Chris Moy (Senior Lecturer, Dept of Geology) as he shares his research on sediment core in order to understand New Zealand's climate.

Sediment cores document the climatic, oceanographic, ecological and environmental changes that are an important part of Earth’s history and provide critical perspective for the development of mitigation and adaptation strategies for global change. Dr Moy will discuss reconstructions of New Zealand’s climate past and describe how this information can be used to inform our future.

Due to Covid-19, we will be hosting this event via Zoom (BYO drinks and snacks!)
