An informal networking breakfast for Otago Medical School staff, students and alumni. Hear the stories of the Otago Medical School’s leading academics and students. Learn about their scientific investigations and their personal journeys into biomedical research. These events will be held monthly until September, on the first Tuesday of each month in Dunedin. At the June event you will hear from speakers Dr Sharon Pattison and Matt Woodall. The presentation will also be available to watch via Zoom.
Dr Sharon Pattison
Sharon studied at the University of Otago and the University of Melbourne and was appointed as a Senior Lecturer, Department of Medicine, and also as Medical Oncologist, Southern District Health Board, in 2016. Sharon has research interests in gastric cancer, colorectal cancer and neuroendocrine tumours, with a particular interest in understanding the variability that is seen at a clinical, histological and genomic level.
Originally from Tāmaki Makaurau, Matt Woodall is a fifth-year medical student studying at the Ōtepoti campus who completed a BMedSc(Hons) in 2019.
