This eResearch-focused event is free for all University staff and postgraduate students.
This year’s event will be Zoom only, and will focus on new and upcoming eResearch services.
Presenters or their delegates will be available via Zoom to answer your questions and for discussion after their presentations.
View presentations by University of Otago specialist support staff, and some of our Research IT partner organisations, who are using electronic tools to help solve a variety of research and data management challenges.
Learn about some of the IT services available to Otago researchers ranging from: laptop-scale computing support, through to high performance computing and data storage using services such as NeSI’s supercomputers; the REANNZ network; the University’s High Capacity Storage (HCS); the data transfer service and Library data management services. Hear the latest from REANNZ – the Research and Education Advanced Network of New Zealand.
Learn about the New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI), and discover what NeSI’s compute and storage platforms, consultancy, support and training services could mean for your research.
Presentations will be followed by open discussion, with breakout rooms used if separate topics of interest emerge.
If you have any queries about the event please contact the eResearch Advisory Group through its chair, David Eyers. Email email@example.com
You do not need to RSVP, but if you email Nicola Walmsley we can send you the Zoom link for the recorded talks. This will be available for a week after the event.
Please also let Nicola know if you wish to be added to the eresearch day email list to get further information about this event.
