Thirst for Knowledge: Atomic Identity Crisis

2021 marks the 150th birthday of Ernest Rutherford, whose famous experiments led him to discover the atomic nucleus.

Join us as Professor Niels Kjærgaard from the Department of Physics demonstrates how far we've come since Rutherford's work. Featuring his latest work using Otago’s ultracold "atom smasher", if anyone is going to get you excited about quantum mechanics, it's going to be Dr Kjærgaard!
