The Blues and Golds Awards recognise and celebrate the highest degree of sporting, cultural, community and arts achievements among University of Otago students.
The original award of “Blues” (celebrating sporting success) has been around since 1908, with “Golds” (acknowledging arts and cultural success) making an appearance in 2002. Over the years additional awards have jumped aboard all in the name of changing times and celebrating the remarkable achievements of students. Often going unnoticed or flying under the radar, it’s a real privilege to shine a light on the amazing pool of talent and contributions we have on campus.
