University of Otago was proud to host the 2019 Three Minute Thesis New Zealand Inter-University Master’s Final on 22 August. Master’s students from each of New Zealand's eight universities travelled to Dunedin to battle it out to be the overall New Zealand champion!

Three Minute Thesis
Three Minute Thesis (3MT) is an entertaining event where our brightest students compete in presenting their research project. The rules? 3 minutes, 1 slide and to be aimed at a general audience.
3MT was developed by the University of Queensland to cultivate master’s and doctoral students’ academic presentation and research communication skills. 3MT events are held by over 600 universities in more than 65 countries worldwide.
