I am a local man currently living and working in Dunedin who requires accommodation. Specifically a self-contained unit or sleepout by 1 May 2019. I have an autism diagnosis, which means while I enjoy the company of others I also need a quiet, private space with limited noise. I will consider living with others provided they are mature (30+); considerate, quiet and I have my own space. A larger boarding hostel style house is not an option due to numbers and noise. An all-inclusive arrangement—furniture included, with a budget of up to around $180 per week. Ideally within walking distance from the city centre or surrounding suburbs. At present, l am living in Elm Row and like the area so somewhere there or thereabouts would be nice although I am open to somewhere further afield. Failing that, an opportunity to House Sit would make a welcome change. I can provide a reference and pass all credit checks. Non-smoker and able to pay rent on time. I look forward to hearing from anyone that has something suitable.

Sunny short-term rental May/July
Thursday, 11 April 2019
Modern, four-bedroom, two-bathroom, fully-furnished house with private landscaped section and scenic views is available for rent from early May to mid-July. Built 10 years ago to capture all-day sun, the house has two heat pumps and a woodburner for days when the sun is scarce. Very quiet street in North East Valley: Just a 40 minute walk, <15 minute bike ride or 10 minute drive to the Clocktower. The bus is also an easy option. Price depends on number of people and duration of stay.

Research assistant seeks accessible home
Thursday, 7 March 2019
I’m a research assistant working in the Department of Economics looking for a room to rent in a private board/flat-with-one-or-two-others type arrangement in a peaceful environment that is relatively close to campus. The property must be accessible. For example, there must be no stairs, the shower must be walk-in, and the lock for the door may need to be converted to a swipe card entry system (I’ll cover any costs that surround this). This is due to the fact that I have Cerebral Palsy, where my speech and fine-motor skills are affected. The reason for looking for accomodation is the need to get used to living away from my family and hiring personal assistants to assist with my chores (the assistant will be able to contribute to cooking and household management, as well as taking care of a few personal tasks for me). I must do this if I’m to pursue career opportunities outside of Dunedin. I’m extremely goal driven, and this will help me going forward. However, I’m also quite relaxed and enjoy coming home to just recharge. I’m looking to do this in the next month or so, and looking for somewhere until next February/March. I’m very happy to meet on campus discuss prices and arrangements etc.
