    2. Developed an understanding of the theories that inform studies of the genre
    3. Acquired aesthetic and technical skills of particular contemporary choreographers and dance styles
    4. Gained an understanding of choreographic composition and performance

    Academic skills

    The course will enable students to:

    1. Construct effective academic essays that display coherent arguments
    2. Effectively communicate ideas orally
    3. Critically analyse choreographic compositions
    4. Construct a research-based exegesis (critical and reflective analysis of their choreographic work)
