    Paper Structure
    The paper is centred around four online discussions focused on definitions of mentoring, mentoring relationships, promoting growth through mentoring and developing a mentoring culture. Discussions run for three weeks and have readings associated with them.

    This Distance Learning paper is taught remotely.

    Students will be expected to access required readings via the library and the Internet and source their own relevant readings.

    Learning Outcomes

    Students who successfully complete the paper will:

    1. Critically examine ways of interpreting and enacting mentoring
    2. Critically evaluate their practice as mentors
    3. Synthesise their increased understanding of mentoring research and their experiences to create a set of guidelines for mentors
