    Overview

    Students will develop an understanding of current international business strategy, context and structure as well as the issues managers face internationalising.

    This paper focuses on internationalisation strategies (and their implications) for businesses and other organisations. Taking a microfoundational perspective and considering the nature of competition, this paper explores models of internationalisation, from traditional to born global, examining contexts, resources, decision-makers and consequences of various choices. Considerations include both basic strategic factors and current topical issues, such as entry mode, small and medium-sized enterprises, country of origin, and global talent management.

    4. A well-developed ability to present information and opinions in a logical and persuasive manner through both oral and written formats
