    Each group of students is required to complete a research project under the supervision of School of Physiotherapy Staff.

    Learning Outcomes

    In addition to the overall outcomes, following the allocated research rotation students will be able to:

    • Appreciate the process and complexities of completing a Research Report which contributes to the body of knowledge
    • Determine the need for further investigation based on current scientific information
    • Understand how a research question is developed
    • Develop a deeper understanding about how a research project is conducted
    • Identify, retrieve and critique relevant scientific literature
    • Apply the principles of scientific enquiry within the Research Report
    • Gather/retrieve information or data to address the research question
    • Analyse the findings using appropriate procedures
    • Discuss the strengths and limitations of the research methods
    • Critique the outcomes of the research in relation to relevant literature
    • Present the information in three formats (written, visual, and oral), using professional language to suit the audience
