Professor Paul Smith and Dr Yiwen Zheng, in collaboration with Professor John Reynolds (Department of Anatomy) and Dr Owen Jones (Department of Psychology), have obtained a grant of $244,911 from Brain Research New Zealand for their project ‘Is long-term potentiation in the inferior colliculus the underlying mechanism of chronic tinnitus?’
Paul and Yiwen have also received a grant of $249,321 from Brain Research New Zealand for their project ‘Biomarker identification and validation for Alzheimer’s disease – a targeted metabolomics approach’. This is a collaboration with Associate Professor Ping Liu from the Department of Anatomy.
