Sasi recently completed his PhD under the supervision of Dr Shakila Rizwan, Dr Greg Walker and Dr Andrew Clarkson (Department of Anatomy). His research was focused on developing formulation strategies for the nose to brain delivery of drugs, a potential treatment option for diseases of the central nervous system. Sasi completed his bachelor of pharmacy at the Jawaharlal Nehru technological University and his Masters in pharmaceutics at the Osmania University.
His talk will focus on the highlights of his thesis: the formulation strategies to enhance drug delivery to the brain and computational simulations of particle deposition in the human nasal cavities.
