The New Zealand Association of Pharmacy Students Otago (NZAPS-O) recently ran elections for positions on the 2017 Executive Committee. Each student nominated for their position, created posters and Facebook pages to support their campaigns.

Congratulations to Alice Weil (President), Annelise Pfahlert, Laura Holland, Mandy Hurle, Laura Pidcock, Renee Spriggs, Laura Pinn, Qimby Vicar, Sophie Elliot and Mitchell Smith for securing an Executive position for 2017.

Ms Weil moved to Otago from Auckland so she could “fully immerse” herself into the student culture. Now, as the new President of NZAPS-O, Alice will work with the Committee to plan and organise numerous social and sporting occasions throughout the year for the students. These include events such as the P2 Camp at the beginning of the year, interfaculty competitions and lots more.

Ms Weil intends to continue to build on Otago's relationship with the Auckland University Pharmacy Association and to work together with Otago's Māori Pharmacist Students Association.

Thank you to the current NZAPS-O Executive Committee for your work and commitment this year.

“I feel like I have learnt so much being down here and it well prepared me for the big wide world” says NZAPS-O 2017 President, Alice Weil.
