The Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy (PGCertPharm) is intended for practising pharmacists who wish to extend their knowledge by way of postgraduate study.
The PGCertPharm is available as either an endorsed or non-endorsed programme. The endorsed option serves as an introduction to advanced-level professional progammes.
The option is:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Pharmacy endorsed in Medicines Optimisation (PGCertPharm Med. Opt.)
The non-endorsed PGCertPharm is an introduction to research via a research project in one of four areas:
- Clinical pharmacy
- Pharmaceutical sciences
- Social pharmacy
The non-endorsed PGCertPharm consists of a single research paper of six months' duration:
- PHCY 590 Dissertation (60 points)
Outcomes include an enhanced understanding of research methods, hands-on laboratory experience, and experience writing-up research.
