Dr Harald Schwefel and Dr Romain Meyrand from Otago’s Physics department and their international collaborators have been awarded 2020 Marsden funding for the project “Dual-comb spectroscopy - resolving optical precision electronically” and the fast-start project “The role of electron turbulence in heating the solar corona”, respectively. The three-year projects are together valued at nearly $1.2M.
In addition, Mikkel Andersen is an associate investigator on the successful project “Three atoms in a tight spot”, and Harald Schwefel is an associate investigator on the successful fast-start project “Sub-wavelength ultra-high quality Terahertz resonators for next-generation sensing technologies”.
More about the projects can be found here
Congratulations Harald and Romain, and Mikkel!
